Amy Gordon, M.Ed. - Executive Director

Amy Gordon is the founder and Executive Director of Second Nature Social Skills.   After leaving the financial sector, Amy vowed to give back hope to others through helping them learn how to become as functionally independent and giving them the confidence to live their own lives to the fullest of their capacities.

Whether students need to work on increasing their social awareness to get through their school day or develop and maintain friendships, Amy uses her upbeat, friendly, and empathetic teaching approach to successfully build her students' social awareness and to help them tackle any social challenge.

Amy uses reseached based best teaching practices such as direct and explicit teaching, Michele Garcia-Winner's social thinking, and video mapping.  Additionally, she has extensive training in social and executive functioning.  Amy wants to be able to help as many people as she can and is in the process of publishing her company's strategies and developing social skill videos for anyone to access.
