Transition Services
We are pleased to announce that Second Nature Social Skills has extended our offerings to include Transitioning Services! These services are for teens as they transition into adulthood and individuals that have met the age of majority or are well into adulthood. Our Transition Services are designed for people within the ages of 14-22.
Currently we are offering individual services. Check back soon as we will be adding a group format to our schedule. We cover:
- Life after High School: Residential or Commuter College? Vocational Training? Find out what fits with your teens/young adult’s interests and helps them identify and apply strategies with their challenges to be successful.
- Academic Organization: What does your teen/young adult need to know to get independently organized? Or at least have the tools in place to be successful with it!
- Function Social Skills Training: How to make your teen/young adult feel confident and successful in a range of situations by providing the tools necessary to build a foundation to begin and maintain friendships and foster relationships with a range of people in the College or Vocational settings.
- Life Skills Training: Your teen/young adult needs to get up, take a shower, get dressed, eat breakfast, get books together, go to the ATM if necessary, head to class…….without your help.
- Travel Training: The planning, organization, and sequencing that goes into traveling can be frustrating…but not with the skills in place to preview, practice, and review!
